MICEO was founded and developed because of generous donations of time and resources from multiple groups and individuals. But the original vision behind MICEO began in Oliver Zelaya’s heart, he started this ministry without having the resources but with a lot of faith, faith in the Lord that if he called him, he will provide whatever the ministry needed.

While attending to Dental School, In 1997 Oliver started to assist with a Christian group called CEO (Dental Evangelical Community), they were a bible study group that also did evangelism in Dental school, in 1999 Oliver was invited to come on a mission Medial trip where he met Dr. Brent Hambrick and the Organization MedMissions, he shared the vision that the Lord gave him and they started to work together, from that moment Oliver felt the call of God to share his Love through Medical- Dental mission trips.

In 2001 Oliver decided to move with his family to San Pedro Sula and start there a ministry to share the Gospel with Dental students in the University and with mission trips. This ministry is called Miceo.
Through the years, God blessed the ministry with equipment and materials that were donated through Organizations, Dental students, doctors and churches from the US.

We have been able to work with different churches and Dental schools from the United States, doing between 25-45 mission trips per year. The Lord gave the opportunity to start going to other countries like Nicaragua, Republica Dominicana, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica and Mexico. In 2005 Oliver was invited to a Mission Trip to Guatemala with Somerset Foundation where he met Elsa Brown and these two ministries have been working together since then.

In 2010 Oliver decided to work full time on the Ministry and in 2016 the Ministry visited the village of El Cairo, a village with extreme poverty and the lack of education, Oliver felt compelled to help meet the physical and spiritual needs so prevalent there. Miceo is currently working with the Kids in El Cairo, Santa Ana and, we continue doing mission trips around Honduras and other countries. Our purpose is to be able to help the needs of the people, especially the communities of El Cairo, the village around it and Santa Ana.
